Le Plaisir Dance Society

In 2008, a group of enthusiastic Taiwan Chung Hsing University graduates formed a small dance group under the leadership and guidance of talented Ms. Jane Wang to prepare for a performance at their Annual Alumni Convention. The debut was an immediate hit and the dance group quickly gained popularity in the greater Vancouver area. In May 2015, as the group further grew, it was officially named ‘Le Plaisir’, a French word for pleasure, and registered as a Non-Profit Organization with the City of Vancouver. In the past 10 years, Le Plaisir Dance Troupe has delivered hundreds of dance performances in numerous visits to senior homes and hospitals, and various cultural and charity events, festivals and theatres in great Vancouver.
Le Plaisir Dance Troupe now has over 80 members sharing their passion for dance and service to communities. The group has tirelessly choreographed, studied, practiced and perfected more than 30 dance pieces ranging from Chinese classical dance, Taiwanese folk dance, jazz dance, etc. With the mission of sharing Chinese art and culture, Le Plaisir has been frequently sought after by both ethnic and mainstream society events and well received by the wide audience.

We couldn't do this without the generous support of our sponsors. If you're interested, we'd love to chat. We look forward to working with companies and organizations ready and excited to share their love for the community!
