Jacky Yenga is a true cultural ambassador for the dances of Africa and their therapeutic power. Originally from Cameroon, she grew up in Yaoundé and Paris and now lives in Vancouver. Her love and passion for her native culture inspired her to become a messenger of the wisdom of her ancestors through traditional dance, songs, storytelling and music. Beyond entertainment, she introduces traditional dance and music as a gateway to spiritual practice and inner well-being. Author and speaker, she is the founder of The Spirit of the Village movement, and she encourages her audience to experience healing and connection through African rhythms and to adopt the spirit of community and fraternity as a way of life for the well-being of all.
