The City of Surrey, BC will witness Grammy® Winner and conservationist Ricky Kej perform his "Music for the Planet" at the Fusion Festival (Holland Park) on July 22, 2018.
‘Ricky Kej LIVE in Concert’ will have 6 International Grammy Awardees from India, Canada, USA, Ghana and Vietnam all on one stage right here in Surrey. Ricky Kej will be performing music from his latest album ‘Shanti Samsara’, which was launched by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of France Francois Hollande in the presence of World Leaders at the Paris COP21 Summit. The music has gained immense popularity world-over reaching out to millions of fans.
Ricky has performed this music to spell bound audiences twice at the United Nations and many other countries. Just back from a successful tour of India & USA where he performed to a packed audience at Times Square - New York and other venues, Ricky Kej is flying high and is exhilarated to perform in BC, Canada.
‘Ricky Kej LIVE in Concert’ will have an ensemble of over 50 artists including members from the Surrey City Orchestra. The concert will be a soulful and meaningful collaboration between Canada and India.

Grammy® Award Winner and US Billboard #1 artist Ricky Kej is an internationally renowned Indian Music Composer, Conservationist and Professor. Ricky Kej composed and produced his latest album ‘SHANTI SAMSARA’, which was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande in the presence of World Leaders at the United Nations COP21 Climate Change Conference in Paris. For Shanti Samsara, Ricky collaborated with over 500 musicians in over 40 countries, all coming together for Environmental Consciousness. Ricky went on to performing music from this album twice at the United Nations General Assembly, NY among other prestigious venues all over the world.
His repertoire of work consists of 15 studio albums released internationally, over 3,500 commercials and 3 feature films. He scored music for the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup 2011, held in Dhaka-Bangladesh.
Ricky was recently awarded the United Nations "Global Humanitarian Artist". Grammy® Nominated Rocky Dawuni is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter who performs his signature ‘Afro Roots’ sound which is a mixture of Reggae, Afrobeat, Highlife and soul music. He currently spends his time between Ghana and Los Angeles. Dawuni’s sixth studio album titled ‘Branches of The Same Tree’ was nominated for a Grammy® Award for Best Reggae Album in December 2015 for the 58th Annual Grammy® Awards.
Grammy® Nominee LONNIE PARK, USA:
Grammy® Nominee Lonnie Park is a vocalist, keyboardist, songwriter, engineer, producer, and plays a wide variety of instruments. Along with his solo career, and various collaborations, Lonnie is the lead singer of the band Ten Man Push. Lonnie also regularly collaborates with Grammy Winning producer and conservationist Ricky Kej for performances at United Nations summits and other world stages. Lonnie has also produced commissioned music for causes such as Autism Works, Autism Movement, Puzzle Solvers. He works across all genre from progressive and symphonic metal to country, hip-hop, world, folk, pop, and gospel.
HAI PHUONG, Vietnam:
Hai Phuong is one of the leading Dan Tranh musicians in the world. A Graduate of HCMC Conservatory (Zither Performance Department), she won ‘The First Prize’ and ‘The Best Contemporary Music Performer Prize’ in ‘The First National Concours of Young Zither talents 1992’. She has performed in several National and International Music Festivals. Currently, Hai Phuong is a teacher of Tranh Zither in HCMC conservatory.
This performance will be joined by members of the Surrey City Orchestra.
